FORKED @ Buster and Punch
FORKED is the first collection to feature the new signature look for the British design label Buster + Punch. FORKED combines precision machining, delicate hand-spun metal, and handblown glass globes.
The result is a versatile modular lighting range that fuses the precision of machine processes with the unique aesthetic of casting – Buster & Punch's homage to the striking visual power of solid metal.
Renowned London architect and industrial designer Massimo Buster Minal launched the Buster + Punch label in 2013. After pursuing a career at Foster & Partners and Richard Rogers, Massimo decided to chase his passion.
"I worked as an architect by day and made custom motorbikes by night. In a garage in Shoreditch, East London, I taught myself how to transform stock vintage motorbikes into one-off customs. I made all the parts from scratch and started selling my motorbikes to London's most notorious. Requests soon turned from motorbikes to home fittings, and I set about making everything from door handles to toilet roll holders. The seed was planted and my love child between architecture and motorbikes was born, his name – Buster + Punch."
FORKED is the sixth family of lighting objects. This new added family comes in three options: Shade, Globe or Shade plus Globe. The four finishes are typical for Buster & Punch: steel, striking burnt steel, brass or gunmetal. The handblown glass globes are either opal or smoked glass.
FORKED looks best with the Forked-specific LED bulb, optimised for each combination.
