Their Jube collection captures the best elements of retro design and elevates them to the current era with sleek and simple shapes and a direct LED light source. This nostalgic collection was brought to life by the team at Favaretto & Partners whose curated style is founded in painstaking precision and a passion for beautiful inventive techniques that combine form and function across numerous items that we use in our everyday lives.
The Jube collection is eye-catching with its large symmetrical blown glass shapes in stark contrast to the minimal appearance of the stem and metal parts that make it up. The gorgeous retro look is further emphasized with the natural earthy colour palette of the glass in hues smoky, burnt earth, antique green, crystal, and the inclusion of the pop of colour, appropriately named light amethyst, as part of the collection. The metal parts are finished in satin gold or steel for a touch of lux and echo the smooth roundness of the glass in their look.
Vistosi pride themselves on their artistic glass blowing and their incredibly precise glass grinding, which is clearly evident in the smooth edges and rounded dome shades giving them an almost ethereal appearance. Since its original inception, the Jube collection has expanded to include more pieces for the rest of the home or environment with the same clean and elegant appeal.
The pendant lamps are available in two design looks with the one including a second separate smooth white blown glass bowl that acts as a diffuser on the unit. The craftsmanship of Jube’s artisans is apparent from the union of two blown glasses when they are assembled together and suspended to create a singular luminaire with a perfect tone-on-tone effect that exudes minimalist modern retro charm. The superimpositions that make these pendants come together are possible due to the powerful water-jet cuts made in the manufacturing process that allows for the fluid combination of the two glasses that is devoid of exposed edges and makes them appear as one.
The Jube luminaires can work as an addition in a space to establish a calm, intimate and elegant setting. The direct light and various colours and dimensions of the pendants, in particular, would work well as stand-alone pieces or grouped together at different heights to create a real statement in a space.
