The largest event in the field of lighting and intelligent building technology, Light & Building, will take place in Frankfurt from 15 to 20 April. The theme of this biannual fair is Energy Efficiency.
Digitization of light and future-oriented solutions and technologies are the areas on which this fair will focus. L&B 2102 will be the stage for many new innovations and product introductions. Over 2100 international manufacturers show their latest developments in lighting, electronics and everything in the field of networked building automation and control software. The current state of the art on Smart Buildings passes in review. Research in Germany has shown that with the latest operating systems, power consumption in offices can be reduced by a staggering 5o percent.
Thanks to a wide range of lighting design manufacturers, L&B 2012 has also acquired name in the field of design. Besides the technical lighting systems for buildings, there is also a huge range of designer fixtures for the project and residential sector. The new LED and OLED light sources have been in the hands of lighting designers for a few years now. New shapes and miniaturization of fixtures is a consequence.
