Plint @ Nemo
PLINT is a new luminaire that inaugurates the cooperation between NEMO and designer Massimo Colagrande. His designs stand out for his use of neat lines in his architectural approach. Simplicity and sophistication are crucial elements in his work. PLINT is a product build on the broad experience of Nemo Studio in museum projects. PLINT is a pure and solid object presented as an architectural element also applicable in residential environments. 'PLINT is a product capable of making the technical light source silent and discreet. A sculptural parallelepiped whose composition is inspired by abstract neoplastic forms.' says Colagrande. "The project was born, in a residential context, from the need to illuminate and focus attention on architectural elements of the surrounding space such as columns but also on art pieces, effectively avoiding the complexities associated with the installation of a ceiling track". PLINT is characterized by a sculptural design; it bursts into the world of accent lighting, challenging the notions of conventional spotlights due to its flexibility that allows it to illuminate from beneath as well as from a support surface. The aluminium structure, composed of two lateral panels hiding the spotlight, can be positioned both vertically and horizontally, and it includes a high-performance LED spot featuring a push dimmable on-board zoom (15°-55°) to adjust the light beam. The 90° vertical adjustability of the spotlight also allows directing the light emission according to specific needs. Proposed with a black finish and two different colour temperatures (2700K and 3000K), PLINT holds the right balance between design and technology, allowing discreet and precise lighting at the same time.
