Bernhard Schmalhorst founded IP44 in 1993. He did this together with specialized partners and companies. Since 2009 IP44 is the exclusive user of the so-called Ivlylight technology. This technology was developed in Rheda-Wiedenbruck and is specialized for outdoor lighting. IP44 is paying very much attention to the material of their designs.
