Making something out of nothing and creating maximum forms from minimal amounts of materials…  This is the basic concept that underlies the creation, since 1994, of the light features of Jacco Maris Design. Since 2001 in collaboration with Ben Quaedvlieg. Unique objects which unite an exciting, powerful appearance with graceful harmony and subtle elegance. These products are traditionally manufactured in their own workshop. Bending a metal strip is the base of many designs by Jacco Maris.  Strip steel, the material of most fixtures, is the main trademark by Jacco Maris. Stainless steel, black steel and messing are recognizable elements which are used separately or together. In the past seven years they developed a remarkable lighting collection. Each design has is own recognizable character. Good examples are the Ode chandelier and the waterproof large floor lamp; The Outsider. Because all fixtures are made by hand, Jacco Maris Design can also realize customization and specials. In every detail tailored to the specific needs of the customer.
