Thomas Schulte is founder and owner of Next, which is located in Germany. It has worked out well for Schulte to work with young and unknown talent. In 2000 this resulted in recognition by winning design awards such as the Form 2000-award of the German Craft Association. Soon after they won with Liquid Lights the Design Award of Europe on the interior fair in Belgium. Next fixtures are very often recognizable by the organic forms. Next makes great use of plastic. A good example is the popular Liquid Light series with a teardrop shape. The organic shapes almost seems to come alive.
