Pulpo

Established in 2006 in Lörrach by Patrick and Ursula L’hoste Pulpo produce furniture, lighting and accessories that combine traditional handicrafts with contemporary production process to create objects that are as familiar as they are individual and which have the grace to compliment any living space. A focus on collaborations with young design studios combined with the bravery to experiment has seen the Pulpo collection develop from a range of simple powder-coated steel accessories to an eclectic mix of objects that combine materials and forms with a self-confident, timeless ease. All objects in the Pulpo collection are produced in Europe by specialist small and medium sized handicraft firms, thus not only ensuring a high quality of craftsmanship but also helping maintain and support traditional industries. Underlining both their commitment to contemporary art and design and the intention to further expand and develop their collection in 2014 Pulpo established the pulpo galerie in Lörrach where a regularly changing programme of exhibitions showcase works by selected international artists and designers.
