According to Serien Lighting, lighting is more than replacing daylight. Lighting is a creative task. Fixtures from Serien are architectural elements made with attention to detail and craftsmanship. The materials that Serien use are tailored to the intended use of the lamp. They are in line with the function of the fixture: to accentuate, to change the atmosphere or to emphasize certain areas. Serien aims not only to achieve a high artistic level, but also strives to constantly design process. Serien is constantly searching for new forms corresponding to the continuous development of light sources. Serien Lighting was founded in 1983 by Jean-Marc da Costa and Manfred Wolf. Besides their own designs there are also other designers attracted. The model; Seventy Seven was awarded with an IF Award. The prestigious Reddot Award went to One Eighty and Zoom pendant lights, the fan; Propellor and the SML series.
