XAL manufactures fixtures and lighting for shops, offices, hotels and living areas. Around the 400 employees in development, production and marketing are working at sixteen locations in seven countries. The headquarter is located in Graz, Austria. XAL was founded here by Andrew and Claudia Hierzer in 1989. The main subsidiaries are located in Munich, Zurich, London and New York. XAL thinks that research and development are just as important as the first class know-how in production and logistics. These competencies enables XAL to respond very flexible to the market. Well-known designs are Vela indoor wall and ceiling lights and Bedo outdoor.
