Boon, Piet

Piet Boon is a Dutch furniture and interior designer who began his career as a contractor. 25 years later, he is one of the most high-profile Dutch designers. Together with his wife Karin he runs a design studio, a team of architects and designers. His strength lies in creating a total concept for individuals and companies such as project developers. In addition, Piet Boon Studio develops and designs new products for third parties.
Boon also designs houses and complete neighborhoods. In 2006 he designed a floating neighborhood near Almere. He also designed the neighborhood around the new marina at the Schelphoek in Hoorn. Boon designed a limited edition version of the car Range Rover Sport in 2006.
Boon won De Zaanse Ondernemingsprijs in 2005, a prize that is awarded annually by the Chamber of Commerce to a Dutch entrepreneur.
