Kaufman, Yaacov

Born in Russia in 1945, lived in Poland until 1957, then moved to Israel where he still lives and where his shop is.

Kaufman graduated in the Bat-Yam Institue of Art, Sculpture Department. He became a professor of Industrial Design at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem.

Besides lighting, he also creates: home, office, community furniture, motion structures and their applications.

He has won several international Design Prizes, owns a number of patents covering design oriented technologies, ergonomy and others: from 1980 to 1997 organized many personal exhibitions in Israel and in USA.
