Pauwels, Jan

Jan Pauwels started designing and realizing custom lights in 1993. He founded Random Light, a company with 4 employees who support him in the creation and installation of the light designs. Pauwels made his name with the design of his Citadel lamps for the Dutch label Quasar.

His way of designing is very typical. His design lighting often consists of aluminum and brass, with many points of light. He calls transparent aluminum structures to life so that more attention is paid to the light. The transparency also brings a kind of tranquility to the space, which also remains intact. Tiny bubbles of light give the room a fairy-tale touch that completely enchants sitters. Sounds fairy-tale-like, doesn't it?
Each lamp, each light is handmade in the workshop of Jan Pauwels.
